This page explains in plain language which personal data we process on grodt.eu, why we do so and what rights you have.

We are based in Switzerland. Because we direct our services at businesses in the European Union, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, in addition, with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). The European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for Switzerland.
Visiting the website
When you open grodt.eu, our hosting provider stores technical details in server logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and operating system. We need this data to operate the site securely and to find errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are not combined with other data and are deleted automatically after a short time.
The website is hosted by METANET AG, Josefstrasse 218, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland, which acts as a processor on our behalf.
Cookies and consent
We set technically necessary cookies, for example to store your cookie decision, without consent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We only set cookies for statistics once you agree in the consent banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change or withdraw your decision at any time using the consent management button at the edge of the screen. Fonts and images are loaded from our own server.
Web analytics
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland). This shows us which pages are used and whether visits lead to enquiries, for example a click on email, phone, WhatsApp or the booking page. Both services are only loaded once you consent to statistics. Without your consent, no connection to Google is established and no cookies are set. Google may transfer data to the USA and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
With your consent to statistics we also use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., Ireland) to see how pages are used, for example where visitors click and scroll. Entries in form fields are not recorded. Clarity is not loaded without consent.
Price calculator
The price calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your selection is neither stored nor sent to us. We only receive it when you send the prepared email.
Contact by email, phone or WhatsApp
When you write to us or call us, we process the details you give us in order to answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. The legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract or performing a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep the communication for as long as is necessary to handle it and as statutory retention periods require.
WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. If you choose this channel, its privacy policy applies in addition. You can also reach us by email or phone at any time.
Appointment booking
You book appointments for an initial consultation through Microsoft Bookings (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., Ireland). The link leads to a separate booking page. There we receive the details you enter in the booking form, such as name, email address and phone number, and use them for the appointment (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Microsoft may transfer data to the USA and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Security
To protect against attacks we use security software. Among other things, it analyses IP addresses in order to detect and block malicious access (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The website is delivered in encrypted form over HTTPS.
Recipients
We do not sell personal data. We pass it on only to service providers who support us in our operations (hosting, email, appointment booking), and only as far as is necessary for their task, or where we are required to do so by law. No automated individual decision-making or profiling takes place.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You can object to processing that is based on legitimate interest, and you can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. A short email to hello@grodt.ch is enough.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you have your registered office or place of work. In Switzerland, the competent authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
We adapt this policy when our website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
